Roadside Garden

I am easily wooed by flower gardens. This is a painting of a garden I saw in Deer Isle, Maine. The sun was just beginning to set and a beam of light hit this garden and the overhead tree just right. I paint in oils with palette knives so my work is textural and full of contrasts.
