The Greeting

Materials used are Lino, Rives cotton paper, and Caligo oil based inks. The subject is first sketched in pencil directly onto a piece of Speedball unmounted linoleum, the carved out. An uncarved piece of linoleum is inked and hand-pressed on the paper to prepare the background. Then the carved image is rolled with ink and hand-pressed onto the prepared paper. Colors of warm earth surround a pair of rabbits exchanging a greeting. Image size unframed is 9X12 inches.
